PRS designed "EcoVisions of Nohumotion," invites audiences to explore the interplay between nature and nonhuman perspectives. Utilizing cutting-edge technology, the installation transforms natural surfaces into dynamic canvases, reflecting the unseen rhythms of the city—such as the flow of wind and the movement of shadows. Through immersive projections that respond to audience interaction, visitors are encouraged to engage with their environment in new ways, fostering a deeper understanding of the interconnectedness between human and nonhuman entities. This installation not only captivates visually but also serves as a catalyst for reflection on our collective urban experience, highlighting the vital stories told through the eyes of the nonhuman.
About the Project:
"Nonhumotion" invites artists to envision an alternative future shaped by climate change through speculative design strategies. This innovative project encourages participants to adopt non-human perspectives, exploring how movements, engagements, and artifacts can communicate this future to visitors at Tai Kwun. Selected artists participated in workshops led by esteemed professors from BU, PolyU, APA, and CityU, with support of PRS, learning essential skills in movement, animation, and artifact construction. On March 9, 2025, the artists presented their ideated designs, aiming to foster a deeper understanding of climate change's impact through interactive projections and immersive experiences. By engaging the audience in this dialogue, the project seeks to inspire collective action and reimagine our relationship with the environment.
